Collaborative Communication in the Workplace

The absence of quality communication skills in the workplace has far-reaching consequences: misunderstandings; decreased motivation, engagement and productivity; low morale; missed opportunities; nothing improves as messages are not explicitly received — to name but a few.

In this paradigm shifting workshop, participants will learn and practice the nuances of two key skills:

  1. How to express ourselves in ways that increase the likelihood that others will contribute to our well-being.
  2. How to receive the messages of others in ways that will increase the likelihood that we will willingly contribute to their well-being.

Communication is the golden thread that has the greatest influence on external stressors in a workplace. Learning how to deliver our message in a way which greatly increases the likelihood that we will not trigger defense mechanisms in others, and that our requests will be genuinely heard and actioned, is a skill whose positive effect can hardly be overstated.
This effect will be experienced in this workshop.

Based on M. Rosenberg’s Non-Violent Communication.

We did the ensa mental health first aider training for managers with Travis and it was an end-to-end great experience! From the initial contact, to organizing logistics, to the actual workshop itself in our office. Travis did an amazing job bringing the concepts to live and filling them up with practical examples. He created an open and trustworthy atmosphere in the room and I'm confident that our teams will benefit immensely from this course. Thanks again!
