Collaborative Communication in the Workplace
The absence of quality communication skills in the workplace has far-reaching consequences: misunderstandings; decreased motivation, engagement and productivity; low morale; missed opportunities; nothing improves as messages are not explicitly received — to name but a few.
In this paradigm shifting workshop, participants will learn and practice the nuances of two key skills:
- How to express ourselves in ways that increase the likelihood that others will contribute to our well-being.
- How to receive the messages of others in ways that will increase the likelihood that we will willingly contribute to their well-being.
Communication is the golden thread that has the greatest influence on external stressors in a workplace. Learning how to deliver our message in a way which greatly increases the likelihood that we will not trigger defense mechanisms in others, and that our requests will be genuinely heard and actioned, is a skill whose positive effect can hardly be overstated.
This effect will be experienced in this workshop.
Based on M. Rosenberg’s Non-Violent Communication.
